A 21 Day Fix Evaluation

A 21 Day Fix Evaluation

During the last 10 months, weight has slowly been creeping back onto my 5’5 frame. During marathon training, I ate like a crazy woman because I used to be burning so many calories and running so many miles and I was hungry all of the time. The marathon was on February 15th and all of the miles stopped after that….however the marathon consuming did not.

I discovered my garments feeling tighter and more uncomfortable. I finally stepped on a scale a month ago and realized I had to stop the cycle of consuming thoughtslessly, eating an excessive amount of, snacking at night, and ingesting wine like it was going out of style.

I'm aware of varied wholesome eating programs (I hate the word food regimen). Paleo, Complete 30, Weight Watchers, and Wheat Belly to name a few. I am pretty sure there are 100’s of various *diets* I may follow. The one that appealed to me at the moment is Beach Body’s 21 day fix recipes pdf (click through the next page) Day Fix.

The program also includes 2 workout DVD’s and a schedule of when to do what. Each section of the video is 30 minutes long and focuses on cardio, total body, lower body, higher body, pilates and more.

Lastly, the package I purchased (on my own accord- nobody requested nor paid me to put in writing this put up) included a package deal of Shakeology mix. Normally, I'm not a huge fan of protein powders or any form of powder that you just mix with different stuff to make a shake. BUT, this tastes OK and blended with the appropriate ingredients, it’s like dessert in a cup! Plus, it’s full of all types of excellent stuff.

So let’s recap the 21 Day Fix: 21 Days of eating the right stuff in the suitable amounts with 30 minutes of exercise daily. SOLD.

Here's what I like and dislike so far.

21-Day Fix Pros

I can do anything for 21 days was my first thought.
What appealed to me about this program is the emphasis on portion control.
No calorie counting- I don’t have the patience for that.
I can still eat no matter I want BUT I have to stay inside my allowance of cups.
There's inbuilt treat *cups* but I haven’t used any of those!
The 21 Day Fix appears to be hugely popular. Thus, there are TONS of meal ideas on Pinterest.
Shakeology is a good shake/meal on the go full of goodness.
I like the benefit and comfort of doing the workout videos in my own residence at a time that works for me. Ya’ll know I can’t stop running so I've added running a day or to in addition to the 30 minute video.
21-Day Fix Cons

Let’s be honest- the price. It isn't cheap to get started and if you want to hold consuming the shakes after 21 days, you will have to purchase more Shakeology. Sure, I understand it's less than what you'd pay for a venti mocha latte at Starbucks, but it surely nonetheless hurts the pocketbook.
Meal planning and prepping. It's a must to plan out your meals and snacks in any other case you will get caught someplace with none of the great things with you can be starving, ready to achieve for the closest food merchandise to shovel down (do you assume this has occurred to me?). Prepping your meals goes hand in hand with the planning. It may take some time to get both of these right and I have yet to master it…..however I will.
The dinner meals I am cooking are undoubtedly more healthy and better for my household of five. Luckily, I have three children whom are nice eaters. That being mentioned, most of our important dishes embody plenty of chopping of this and that and using a number of pans and I'm discovering dinnertime to take a little longer than usual. Part of it might be trying to figure out WHAT I am going to make instead of planning it out ahead of time : ).
I am on the finish of Day 5 and have tons 5.5 lbs already. I'm not sure if that is regular or if I was just eating so much crap that my body is thanking me for easing up and filling it with the nice stuff. Whatever the reason, I am not complaining.

I took *before* pictures, however I am not brave enough to post them here (but). Maybe on the end. Possibly not.

I've 15 days left to go and I am already contemplating doing a 2nd round. I am loving the results so far. Even better, I'm loving the management I have taken over my thoughtsless eating, consuming an excessive amount of, nighttime snacking, and I've stated ADIOS to wine.

Disclosure: I purchased the 21-Day Fix and Shakeology by myself and was not compensated for this review. All opinions are my own. This publish contains Amazon affiliate links.
